SHOWING UP FOR LIFE: Phase I
A structured extended care sober living environment in Connecticut designed to support him while he heals and matures - as scaffolding supports a building until it can rise on its own.
through integrated drug addiction treatment, life skills,
and 12-step immersion, young men develop the skills,
confidence, and spirituality needed for a healthy, sober life.
Turning Point recognizes the specialized needs of young men suffering from alcohol and drug addiction and co-occurring disorders. Combining integrated drug treatment with graduated levels of residential care, life skills training and a unique 12-Step immersion process, we reintegrate young men into the world as they develop the skills, confidence and spiritual nature required for a healthy lifestyle.
Whenever and wherever a young man and his family decide that a change in direction is necessary, Turning Point’s comprehensive, multidisciplinary system of care allows young men to grow, mature, and make lasting changes in their lives.
Divided into three distinct phases, our “step-down” continuum of care helps young men make gradual and incremental steps toward greater self-responsibility and independent sober living over time. With integrated drug treatment, each client addresses grief/loss, emotion dysregulation, trauma and other issues that contribute to unhealthy behaviors while integrating real world experiences and transitioning to adulthood. It is not a 30-, 60-, or 90-day commitment. It’s a commitment to change his life.
