SHOWING UP FOR LIFE: Phase I
A structured extended care sober living environment in Connecticut designed to support him while he heals and matures - as scaffolding supports a building until it can rise on its own.
through integrated drug addiction treatment, life skills,
and 12-step immersion, young men develop the skills,
confidence, and spirituality needed for a healthy, sober life.
Turning Point is a three-phased recovery program designed specifically for young men with addiction and co-occurring mental health issues.
This accredited and nationally acclaimed program combines an evidence-based drug treatment model with traditional Twelve Step recovery and a comprehensive, experiential learning process designed to meet the developmental needs of young men.
It exposes young men to a drug-free world gradually as they develop an understanding of their disease, build the skills to resist relapse, form meaningful relationships, practice living a sober lifestyle, and begin to make positive choices that will lead them to a healthy and productive life.
TIME TO FOCUS ON HEALING & RECOVERY
The Turning Point program of “Phased Reintegration” is a recovery building block approach, where each phase is designed to build upon the previous one. Since individuals progress through drug addiction treatment according to their own time table, there is no predetermined length of treatment.
Offering comprehensive clinically- based drug treatment services in all three phases, this innovative system of care exposes young men to a drug-free world gradually, at his own pace, as coping skills, self esteem, and recovery tools develop to support independent sober living and long-term recovery.
Divided into three distinct phases, this “step-down” approach guides young men to make incremental progress toward addressing their substance misuse and any associated medical, psychological, social, educational, vocational, and legal issues. It is not a 30-, 60-, or 90-day commitment. It’s a commitment to change your life .
